Monster Inc. Birthday Party

It's been a while! You may, or may not have noticed my absence from posting on this blog. After like a forever blog hiatus, I'm back and ready to share! I can't promise there won't be quiet weeks (hehe)  please bear with me because this hormonal changes in pregnancy is making me very tamad! haha! Yup, I'm on my second trimester now. Thank you!

Here's what I made for my son Ryker's 5th birthday at school. He wanted to have a monster themed birthday.

This is a two tier vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. I let my little boy do the frame work. We had so much fun decorating his cake together! This are all edible.

Henry Hugglemonster Cake

During the day at random times I often find myself singing "Have a Henry Hugglemonster Day" and that is because my little boy is a big fan of the show. For his fourth birthday hindi na ako nahirapan to look for a theme because the toddler is so sure already of his theme and so we had a roaring Henry Hugglemonster birthday party at his school!

For his invitations I got it from the internet and just edited the texts and sent them through email. Haha! yes, I'm that frugal! Thank goodness to generous artist for sharing their work and to pic monkey for making editing fun and easy.

My Little Doll's First Birthday

Last weekend was my daughter's The Very Hungry Caterpillar-themed first birthday party! Planning this party was a bit crazy ( no nanny and helper and the kids are sick) since I have to prepare everything in a month but this party was still an absolute labor of love, and I cherished every minute. Despite the time constraint everything came together just as I hoped it would. It was an amazing day with family, friends, food and fun!

Ryker's monkey themed party

My sweet little boy turns 2 years old and that means everything is in two! A double celebration and  two kinds of cupcakes in two colored frosting. He had a monkey themed mini celebration this morning at his daycare school together with his pint size classmates and the second and big bash pool party is on the weekend with family and close friends.

patiently waiting in class...

For this event I made a vanilla  and chocolate cake cupcakes. A honey-mustard chicken wings and easy spaghetti. With these menu you will never go wrong in pleasing the most discriminating palates.

To our darling little boy,

You're officially a toddler now but I still see you as that precious little newborn that I bring into this world. How time flies and now you're saying babyhood goodbye.
You gave us so much joy... everything about you is wonderful. Always remember that mom and dad loves you this BIG! And we are excited with all the oodles things that you want to become when you grow up. Don't grow up so fast. I Love You.

Mom.

Priceless Moments

The best and hardest job in the world, they say, is being a MOM. I say it is a career and it's very rewarding! We are constantly multitasking but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate the little things - literally! Whenever my little boy notice that I'm out from his sight he scrunch and calls out for me and when he does find me a big smile paints his face and he hugs me and lean his head on my shoulder like he didn't see me for a long time. It's just the sweetest! It made me wish my little Ryker to be little forever!

In a few days my little boy will be bidding babyhood goodbye and into the world of toddlerhood. As much as I hold dear my little boy's early years, I know there are umpteen of equally beautiful milestones to come...

Until then...
