Chocolate Wacky Cake

Wackiness don't just apply on selfies and group shots but on cakes as well. There's a Wacky Cake also! This cake has no eggs, milk, or butter on it kaya wacky, diba? hehe! Don't fret because I can assure you this is really good! It came out moist, dark and delicious.

It's been toasty in my part of the world this couple of months and I swear to take a hiatus on baking to take care of the little bun in my oven, haha, but the inner baker in me can't really resist! Good thing this chocolate recipe is very simple and easy to make.

Recipe follows...

Ingredients

1 1/2  All Purpose Flour
1 cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Cocoa ( I use unsweetened)
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Distilled Vinegar
5 Tablespoons Canola Oil
1 Cup Water, Cold

Directions

Grease an 8 inch square pan and preheat oven to 350 degreed F.
Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
Make three wells in the flour mixture. 2 small wells and 1 bigger well.
In one small well put vanilla and the vinegar in another well, and in the third and bigger well put the oil.
Pour in 1 cup cold water over all and stir. No need to beat.
Pour into prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumb and not moist batter.

I let it cool in the wire rack for few minutes and sliced the cake in the middle and slather my caramel sauce. Yum!

Easy peasy, right? Now, go and unleashed your inner baking diva and enjoy your wacky cake!
